Archives+ Inaugural Photography Competition
Give us your best shot of Manchester as you see it, captured with your phone, tablet or camera.
We're launching our first photography competition on Monday the 7th of April!
We want people who love Manchester as much as we do to take photographs, using any device you like, that showcase what Manchester is all about.
The competition is aimed at all ages and abilities but we are particularly keen to encourage entries from families and young people. There will be free photography sessions which will run alongside the competition during the Easter school holidays for these groups - take a look at our events page for details of these.
To take part all you need to do is email us at info@archivesplus.org with your entry and the following details:
Name
Age
Post Code
Brief description of image (including the location, why you chose it and anything else you think is important)
The deadline for submissions is the 27th of April. Shortlisted entries will be placed on our Facebook page http://facebook.com/archivesplus on Monday the 28th of April and we will be asking for people to "like" their favourite photograph. The winning entry will be the photograph with the most likes at 9.30am on Tuesday the 6th of May.
All short listed entries will be added to the Virtual Archive Wall in the Archives+ exhibition in Central Library and will receive one of the small posters of Central Library.
First prize will be a £100 Arndale gift voucher.
2nd prize will be a £30 Arndale gift voucher.
Maximum three entries per person.
